The prolonged dry season causes farmers to fail to harvest, thus hampering the production and distribution cycle.

 Hello everyone,

How are you? I hope you are in good health. This time I will talk about implementing the 13th SDGs goal. Currently, the SDGs are being widely promoted and implemented in various countries in the world, and Indonesia is no exception. I am here as one of the Indonesian people who also participate in promoting and implementing it.

What I discuss here is the goal of the 13th SDGs, namely climate change. There are many impacts of climate change that have a negative impact on human survival, one of which is the long dry season which causes farmers to fail to harvest, this is what I will eliminate this time.

Do you know how big the impact of the long drought on the agricultural sector? According to the data from BPS, in 2015 the average area of land that failed to harvest due to prolonged drought in Indonesia was around 963,183 ha and it is still uncertain whether there is an increase or decrease in the area of land that fails to harvest throughout Indonesia.

In 2018 my village where I live also experienced crop failure due to a prolonged drought, and the solution thought by the villagers is to make a water bank that can be used during the dry season and filled during the rainy season. So that it can overcome crop failure caused by prolonged drought.

                                 Water bank

Above is a picture of the water bank in my village, the water bank measuring 16m x 4.5m x 1.8m which can accommodate 129.6L of rainwater which was built in a high area and arranged in terraces.

                        Multilevel water bank

The water bank is built in a high area and is arranged in layers so that the rainwater collected in the water bank can be channeled to the land below it, so that it can wet the land of farmers who have difficulty getting water.

With this we can solve the problem of farmers who fail to harvest due to the long drought. This water bank is also environmentally friendly so that it does not pollute the surrounding environment, and this water bank can also be converted into a fish farm if there is no long drought that hit the area. It can also increase the economy of the surrounding community by selling the fish from the farm.

What I mentioned above is a way for the village I live in to deal with long droughts and I think this is worth trying in areas that are prone to long droughts. In order to reduce the economic decline of the farmers if a long drought hits.

Chronology of Sad Man Recovers from Corona Virus, Almost Desperate and Helped by Traditional Chinese Medicine

Tiger ye is one of the patients affected by the corona virus. He is 21 years old. The process of the man to recover from the Corona virus was not easy, even Tiger Ye was almost desperate. Tiger Ye was cured after taking a series of treatments from a doctor's prescription and assisted by traditional Chinese medicine.

While sharing his experiences, Tiger Ye claimed to have started showing symptoms of Covid-19 infection on January 17, 2020. I feel all the muscles aching. Maybe at that time I had a low-grade fever, but I didn't pay much attention. On January 21, I felt pain all over my body. I then called my father and he immediately picked up. At home, I had a low-grade fever and my mother said that if the fever didn't go down it would also take me to the hospital. Until 11 pm, the fever did not go down too, so I went to the Tongji hospital. When I arrived there, I saw that the hospital was overwhelmed by the surge of patients. I don't know where I got it. I always eat at a Hong Kong cuisine restaurant in the school canteen. I also didn't travel much because it was winter and always went straight home after school because I was tired. During semester breaks, I stay at my parents' house, not in a dormitory. At that time I was actually not afraid, because the hospital was the best in Wuhan and was always full. Because the patient was very crowded, I decided to move to the Wuhan lung hospital, and this decision was ultimately correct.

I was then given a prescription drug and traditional Chinese medicine in the form of capsules by a doctor. When Wuhan began to close, on January 22 I also began to be quarantined at home by my father. My mother used to study at a medical university and my father worked in a pharmaceutical company, so they could handle me. My room has its own bathroom, so it's actually very comfortable even though I'm isolated. On February 4, the CT scan showed significant improvement in my lung and the cough was cured. I was tested again and given a prescription drug. The next day the test results showed I was negative for the virus, but the doctor said I had to be retested on February 7. I did it and the results were negative. I was declared cured of corona.
